As an MP and former Minister, Dame Andrea has been in parliament through some of the most turbulant and memorable times. Beginning in 2015 when she was elected as the MP for Morley & Outwood ahead of Ed Balls.
Through the Brexit years, David Cameron's resignation, her publicly calling for Theresa May to resign. She was a government Whip and Minister under Boris Johnson, and under Liz Truss's Premiership. She was also the first MP to publicly put a vote of no confidence letter in against Rishi Sunak. Andrea has been renowned for her honesty and Yorkshire bluntness in politics this last decade.
